Shark Dive with Beqa Adventure Divers in Fiji

On my recent trip to Fiji, I crossed off a bucket list item: diving with sharks! I'm telling you, this is a MUST DO. No cages. Just water and the dive masters betwen you and those sharks.

You can dive with sharks at the Shark Reef Marine Reserve in Beqa Lagoon, off of Pacific Harbour on the south side of the main island of Fiji, Viti Levu. There are two dive outfitters that do shark dives: Aqua Trek and Beqa Adventure Divers. BAD seems to be the better rated of the two, so that's who we went with. We did two dives to a  total of three spots. I didn't even know there was a second dive (the "main attraction") and was already so happy to see so many sharks. But then there were more.

The first dive we saw mainly reef sharks and a few bull sharks. Whitetip sharks, blacktip sharks, swimming along vibrant smaller fish.

On the second dive, we saw 30-40 bull sharks. First they were being hand fed, then a trash can full of tuna scraps was brought out and the bull sharks all descended upon it, circling around the can right in front of us.

So. Many. Sharks
Photos don't do it justice, so I've uploaded a couple of videos for you!
